Nostalgic Flavors at Yonggung in Gyesan-dong, Incheon
A hidden gem in Incheon Gyesan-dong(인천 계산동), Yonggung(용궁) offers authentic Chinese flavors that bring back nostalgic memories. Run by a dedicated elderly couple, this place is a must-visit for its crispy Tangsuyuk(탕수육) and impeccably clean Jjamppong(짬뽕).
On January 3, 2026, I visited Yonggung(용궁), a Chinese restaurant in Incheon Gyesan-dong(인천 계산동). I used to eat here frequently when I worked in this area, and it is a place I want to keep all to myself while hoping they stay in business for a very long time.

The menu offers a special discount if you pay in cash at the restaurant. I ordered Set 2, which includes Tangsuyuk(탕수육), Jajangmyeon(짜장면), and Jjamppong(짬뽕).

The Tangsuyuk(탕수육) here is my absolute favorite. It captures the nostalgic flavor I used to enjoy as a child, and the crispy texture is truly outstanding.

The Jajangmyeon(짜장면) is also very delicious, but I especially love the Jjamppong(짬뽕) at this restaurant. You can see the chef's expertise just by looking at the clean and well-prepared mussels.

The restaurant is run by an elderly couple. I sincerely wish them continued health and hope they can keep the business running for a long time without the place becoming too crowded.
