1. A Third Visit to a Personal Favorite

On November 3, 2023, I made my third visit to Chowon Yang-kkochi(초원양꼬치) in Yangchon-eup(양촌읍)Gimpo(김포). This place is always bustling with people who crave authentic Chinese flavors. Among the various menu items, the lamb rib skewers remain the most impressive for me. Its deep and rich taste has firmly established this restaurant as one of my favorite gourmet spots.

2. Appetizers and Essential Seasoning

The meal began with simple but essential side dishes. I personally enjoy the Chinese-style roasted peanuts; picking them up one by one with chopsticks is quite fun. Along with the peanuts, the signature lamb skewer seasoning was served, ready to be paired with the meat soon.

3. The Main Event: Grilling Yang-galbi-kkochi

I ordered two servings of Yang-galbi-kkochi(양갈비 꼬치). Watching the skewers rotate automatically on the grill is one of the joys of dining here. It is important to be careful of the heat while the skewers cook to perfection.

4. Perfect Pairing with Yeontae-goryang

For the drink, I chose Yeontae-goryang(연태고량). This restaurant offers the specific type of Yeontae-goryang(연태고량) that I prefer, which is not always easy to find elsewhere. The clean aroma of the liquor paired beautifully with the savory flavor of the grilled lamb.

5. Discovering Liuroudan and Bonus Service

I also tried Liuroudan(류육단) for the first time. It is a dish made by frying pork loin and sautéing it in a Chinese-style sauce. Additionally, I added one more serving of Yang-galbi(양갈비) and received a complimentary dish of Geon-dubu-bokkeum(건두부볶음) as a service. It was a truly satisfying and full meal.
