1. Stepping into a Time Capsule
Entering this unlabeled shop in Yeongtae-ri(영태리), Paju(파주), felt like stepping back in time. This humble establishment was run by a kind grandmother. To the left of the entrance was a small grocery store, and to the right, a few simple tables awaited visitors. It was a place where the atmosphere of a bygone era remained perfectly intact.

2. Traces of a Kind Heart
The old walls were filled with traces of the past. A small sign requested exact change of 2,800 KRW for the Ramyeon(라면), alongside an old calendar and a clock. Looking at these items makes me long to travel back to that moment and taste that special meal once more. The simplicity of the space reflected the honest and generous heart of the grandmother.
3. The Perfect Accompaniment: Kkakdugi
The side dish of Kkakdugi(깍두기) served here was truly a masterpiece. Its crisp texture and perfectly fermented flavor created a flawless harmony with the hot noodles. It was the ultimate accompaniment that completed the dining experience, leaving a lasting impression as much as the main dish itself.
4. A Grandmother's Heart in a Warm Bowl
The signature dish was Samyang Sogogi-myeon(삼양 쇠고기면) prepared with the grandmother's unique recipe. Originally created for her grandchildren, the bowl was packed with generous amounts of squid and various vegetables. Sadly, since she passed away, this warm meal has become a precious memory that can never be tasted again. It was a bowl filled with more than just food; it was filled with love.
